Tunetech is an independent, family-owned garage. We opened our doors here in 1993 and have grown our business mostly through word of mouth.

Car Servicing & Repairs

We provide a quality service for your car or van, maintaining and servicing it at a lower price than the main dealers usually charge. We can pick up your car (from Hemel and the surrounding areas) or you can drop off and collect the car from our workshop in Nash Mills.

Service Intervals
We are guided by the manufacturers' service schedules, and for newer cars under warranty we meet these requirements to maintain the manufacturer's warranty. As your car ages we can work with you to determine the most appropriate service requirements depending on the age, mileage and amount of use the vehicle is getting.

We assess the vehicle to identify the work that needs to be done and will get your approval before carrying out the work.

We use original manufacturers' parts, (as required by the manufacturer), whilst the vehicle is still under warranty. Once a car is out of warranty, we can source manufacturer approved parts of equivalent (and sometimes better) quality to reduce the overall cost of maintaining your vehicle.
The right high quality oils
We use high quality oils and additives to meet manufacturers' specifications. As an example, an engine may require 5W-30 grade oil, but there are many variations of 5W-30 with different additive packages for use with different makes and models of vehicle. We stock over 25 different grades and variants of engine oil and will always use the correct oil for your vehicle.

Changing the oil regularly, using the correct oil for the vehicle, is one of the best things you can do to extend the life of your vehicle's engine.

Maintaining the manufacturer's warranty
The legislation allowing independent garages to service vehicles whilst maintaining the manufacturer's warranty is known as Block Exemption regulations, introduced by the European Union in 2002 and retained in UK law following Brexit. As an independent garage, we have to ensure your car is serviced and repaired to manufacturer-approved standards. We have access to the technical information, including diagnostic equipment and software to service, maintain and repair your vehicle without invalidating the manufacturer's warranty.
Service record
At Tunetech, we will update the service book and, where appropriate, the manufacturer’s on-line digital service history. We have invested in the technology to update the onboard computer to reset the service indicator, and for BMW specifically, we can also update details such as the name of the garage performing the service, which we find is often missed.
